Blog 703: Screw Alchemist

Its like.. since yesterday, life's been trying to show me all sorts of omen to lemme know that I was going to screw my paper today...

First, I get fever yesterday evening... anyways... sleep at 3.30 am .. and wake up at 5.30 am with an out-of-the-blue gas attack :((

Cant think of anything that could have prompted that apart from a few Parle-G's that I'd had before going to sleep...

Go to exam room today morning and lo and behold, an honorable Prof of my department, one who generously hands out ppl a B if they get 79.99, tells us that if we dont have our I cards, we better go back and get them or meet some dumbnut in some dumb room in the insti. It didnt matter that the prof taking the subject was willing to testify to our identity... we still had to go get our I cards...

Nice na?

Oh it'll get even nicer when I tell u that when this prof came around to check my I card, he benignly confided in me that he remembered me but... kya karein... control nahin hota. Out of all the words that came to mind back then, pedantic is the only one I'd be allowed to publish here.

Reminded me of a similarly fucked up exam morning in the 4th semester... morning of the Prob stats end sem exam...

Remember all those big beetle like insects that are just so common here... the ones that have a hard shell on top... fly randomly here and there ... and make a hard sound when they hit anything...

One adventurous member of this species managed to direct the trajectory of its flight into my ear that morning. Woke up with a scorching pain in my ear... started screaming... it was that unbearable... woke Krishna... and turned out that this gentle creature was so far inside my ear that Kris couldnt even see it...

Tried jumping up and down sideways to get it out... didnt help... tried pressing all kinds of places around the ear... didnt help... and to make matters worse, this scum-on-the-face-of-earth started moving inside my ear... tried spreading its wings...urrrgghhhhh... and managed to make me howl the loudest in my whole life. Finally... after doing what and what not... it came out... and I dont remember if I've ever crushed anything else half so vehemently under my feet...

Ear is the worst place to get a pain in... u cant see anything... u cant do anything... so delicate that its difficult to bear it... and it translates to a headache immediately...

Makes my ear pain even now thinking of that day...

Anyways... jo beet gayi so baat gayi...this is my 49th post... half century coming up...

Butterflies in the tummy?? NOOO WAY ON EARTH... I HATE TO THINK OF ANY INSECT INSIDE MY ANATOMY ANYMORE !!
